Education Minister Erica Stanford Represents New Zealand at Global Education Summit
New Zealand's Education Minister, Erica Stanford, is leading a high-level delegation to Iceland to participate in the 2025 International Summit on the Teaching Profession (ISTP). This annual summit brings together Education Ministers, union leaders, and teacher leaders from high-performing OECD countries to discuss key issues and share best practices in education.
The New Zealand delegation consists of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Post Primary Teachers' Association (PPTA) Te Wehengarua, and the New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI) Te Riu Roa. This diverse group reflects a collaborative approach to addressing educational challenges and improving student outcomes.
